Kristin Fischer will join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. As a correspondent for Space and Defense Kristin Fisher is a reporter covering everything from NASA to the newly formed Space Force as well as commercial space firms and tourism in space. Kristin was raised in the field of space as the granddaughter and daughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years she's reported on space policy during the Biden and Trump Administrations on FOX News. Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump, the 2020 Presidential campaign as well as efforts of two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. The reporter also was on numerous trips with Vice President and President of the United States as well as a secret trip to Afghanistan along with the then-President Donald Trump. Prior to becoming a part of the company in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through the local news channels including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin started Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in producing documentaries for corporate clients, including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Boston University. The place she lives is Washington, D.C., along with her family members, including their daughter, who is three years old.
